Cautions - 5

There are five concluding cautions for the bringing forth of the inner life of faith. If we pay attention to these cautions, the result will be a life of holy joy and peace.

5. We must care for others.
No life can be blessed which is self-centred, and shut in, as the Dead Sea, by giant walls.

• The secret of having is giving;
• the secret of learning is teaching;
• the secret of climbing to the throne is by stooping to wash the feet of the disciples.

Think more of others than yourself, and your own life shall be never so rich and prosperous.

"I Want God's will - I Want God's will - I Want God's will: such Christians to go all over the world, and spread the Gospel."
These words, spoken with labored breath, were almost the last uttered by a beloved Christian worker.

Father,
thank You for the ability to look beyond my own selfish needs
and out to the needs You would lay upon my heart to achieve. Thank You for satisfying me fully in this way,
in Jesus' name,
Amen.
